INOV8 currently uses the Fireye Combustion Control model MEC120R as the flame safeguard control. This control monitors the flame and shuts down the fuel supply within three seconds in a flame outage. It monitors the flame with an ultraviolet flame sensor. Most burners use a cad cell sensor - which INOV8 does not consider sufficient when burning waste oil that has a wide variance of flash points and characteristics. The Fireye also provides pre-purge and post-purge functions, self-diagnostics, and can be used with gas and oil.
The Fireye Combustion Control module is made up of several smaller components. Listed here is the complete assembly and each separate component. INOV8 technicians will assist if needed to diagnose which if any component needs replacing.
Older burners use an earlier model of the Fireye, model MC120. Those components are still available and are listed below. All items are available in 50 / 220 versions.
